Actor and Model Godfrey Gao Dead at 35

Gao was filming a reality show in China when he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. He was taken to a nearby hospital but died soon afterwards.

Friend and former manager Andrew Ooi, via statement Online sources say Gao collapsed while running at around 2 AM. At the time, he was filming a Chinese sports reality show called ‘Chase Me’. Sources add he may have had a cold that same day.

Back in 2011, Gao made history as Louis Vuitton’s first Asian male model. He then made his way to movies, appearing in 2013’s ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.’ He also had a role in Chinese sci-fi flick ‘Shanghai Fortress,’ which premiered this past summer.
