McDonald’s Is Testing New Chicken Sandwiches

The new Crispy Chicken and Deluxe Crispy Chicken are being tested in Houston, TX, and Knoxville, TN.

McDonald’s Statement, via Business Insider: “McDonald’s is testing a new chicken filet for the sandwiches. The Crispy Chicken is served on a bun with butter and pickles”. The Deluxe Crispy Chicken adds mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. The new sandwiches are also being served in foil bags, similar to Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.

The “Chicken Sandwich Wars” being played out among the three fast food competitors caused McDonald’s to lose a portion of its chicken sales in October.
